Stay Fit during Holidays: 6 Practical Tips
Fitness for holidays, huh? It’s already that time of the year again.
Eid is right around the corner now and while you’ll be getting a lot of protein from qurbani, don’t forget our whey protein 🫣 (I swear we’re almost restocked, you can get the sampler kit tho 😁).
Anyhow, back to the topic.
We know it isn’t easy to fit your workout routine into holidays, especially ones like Eid, all your cousins and family are having sleepovers, late-night movie marathons, dawats, meat dishes all day, etc.
But it’s important to stay motivated and on track with your fitness journey, while you do have to enjoy Eid with your family, remember to keep focus.
Doing exercise sounds like the last thing you’d want to do when being home for a few weeks but it is what it is…
And here are a few tips to make it easy for you…
Tip# 1: Early to bed, early to rise.
What??? Wake up early in vacations??
A small price to pay though, for your health.
It’s just better if you do wake up early and stick to a routine.
Sleep is important guys, and we must treat it that way.
The best way to go through these holidays without losing track of your fitness journey is to treat ‘em not like holidays.
Tip# 2: Move around
During the holidays, one of the biggest mistakes is to stay confined to your bed.
It’s best to stay active and move around. It’s even better to power walk or run, that’ll get rid of laziness for you.
A good routine for your vacations can be to just wake up and go for a run or walk.
Although, it may sound like not a good suggestion for summer vacations, to go for a run in this weather that’s why we said to wake up early.
Tip# 3: Stick to a meal plan.
It’s very easy to deviate from your meal plans when you’re with your family, and this is the point when you’ll really have to pull it together.
Keep track of your meals and count your calories.
Know when you’re eating meat and compensate for those calories with your workout.

Tip# 4: Stay hydrated
For starters, it’s hot. The weather I mean. Very hot 🥵.
A prerequisite for fitness on holidays is water.
We often forget to drink water and stay hydrated during holidays but given the weather, please don’t forget it.
Especially on Eid, don’t roam around distributing the meat around your neighborhood without adequate hydration.
Tip# 5: Add exercises that you can do anywhere.
Holidays can get hectic sometimes.
One reason people might skip exercise is because they’re always traveling.
What to do?
You’ll have some time when you wake up.
Do lunges, sit-ups, planks, push-ups, crunches, etc.
And if still unsure, read this article on how to exercise when traveling.
Tip# 6: Indulge but don’t overindulge.
Yes, it sounds like we hate fun, and need you to be a stick-up member of your family, who’s doing push-ups in a corner at Nano’s house while everyone is playing ludo 🙂🙂.
But no, have fun, it’s good for your brain to detox and have fun too.
We just want you to stay on track with your fitness, these tips are just our way of making sure you do 🤌.
Otherwise, go nuts, but not too much.
